These highly social giant rodents weigh 3d24+75 pounds, and usually lives in groups of 1d10+10 individuals. Larger groups are known, and can number up to 100 animals. They inhabit dense forests and savannahs alongside bodies of water. Capybara are quite at home in water, and are excellent swimmers. They are hunted for their meat, hides, and grease which can be processed from their fatty tissues. Because they are relatively numerous where they are found, they are of no particular value in the local economy – PCs may gain 1d3 cp per animal, but no more.
