These prehistoric bears are similar to brown bears, but larger. Males average 11d50+770 pounds, and females 1d50+500 pounds. The giant cave bear weighs up to 2,200 pounds and is correspondingly more dangerous. If a cave bear hits the same opponent with both claws, it mauls its opponent, doing additional damage as indicated, and gaining a free bite attack.
