These bats are herbivorous, living on fruit, nectar, leaves, and flowers. Normal fruit bats can have a wingspan up to 5½ to 6 feet across, although some are smaller. Giant fruit bats are twice as large, and can bear a halfling or goblin in leather armor. Although fruit bats can bite, they do not carry disease like some carnivorous bats do.
