They weight 1d3+1 pounds, with males being notably larger than females. Giant mongooses are 1d3+5 feet long and weigh 6d30 pounds Mongooses are noted for their speed, and their resistance to snake venom. All mongooses have a +6 bonus to saves against venom, and take only half damage if the venom comes from a serpent. Normal mongooses are a welcome sight, and may be encouraged to live near humanoid households to reduce the snake population. They will also eat rodents, lizards, bird eggs, scorpions, and insects. At this size, mongooses may be kept as pets. Giant mongooses are dangerous, however. And may attack humanoids as well as large or giant versions of their smaller kin’s regular diet.
