This large wild canid resembles a long -legged red fox, but it neither a true fox nor wolf. It weighs 2d12+42 pounds, and is omnivorous, filling most of its dietary needs with the tomato -like wolf apple. Maned wolves are solitary, or found in mated pairs, and typically shy away from humanoids unless they are halfling -sized or smaller. It is notable for the distinct cannabis smell of its urine, which it uses to mark territory. Other Names: Aguara guasu , borochi, golden dog, kalak , lobo de crín , lobo de los esteros , lobo- guará , and skunk wolf.
